POETS

Where is that last poem you wrote? Stuck in a drawer with all the rest? Did you ever consider sharing your poetry in a book for others to read?

If the publishing options and the process of getting your chapbook of poetry published seem too confusing for you to tackle, let me know. I can explain the different paths to publication from which you can choose.

Let others enjoy your poetry!!

WRITING YOUR LIFE STORY
OR THE HISTORY OF YOUR FAMILY,
CHURCH, OR BUSINESS.

Have you considered writing your life story or the history of your family? Perhaps you’ve already done it, and now you’re wondering where to go from here. Where do you find a publisher? Is it even possible to get your book published without paying a fortune? How much should it cost anyway? How many books should you have printed? Do you really have to start with 2000? Is there a better way?

First things first. And first is to have your manuscript edited. To quote Dhanna Bailee in the Jan/Feb issue of WRITER’S JOURNAL, “Get your manuscript edited. …you can’t afford not to. …please don’t spoil a great prospect by presenting a mediocre work. The effort and expense will be well worth the investment in the long run..."

As an editor who has seen some very fine stories ruined because they were set in print before they were polished and proofed, I heartily agree.

Whatever stage your life story is in, whatever questions you have, contact me and we can talk about your book. I am not affiliated with any one publisher or printer.

SELLING YOUR EXPERTISE

We each have some special talent or skill that the next person might not have. Our special expertise comes from training, education, inborn talents, and our own unique life experiences. We can’t all be skilled at everything, and we really don’t care to be. But there are things we don’t know that we’d like to learn. The expertise of others is being sought by many. And expertise is being marketed in many different ways.

What is your expertise? Do you have ideas for scrap booking you haven’t seen elsewhere? Is your method of making birdhouses easier? Do you have recipes to feed two people, or recipes for fifty? Do you know the best way to correct that slice in golf?

Whatever your particular skill may be you can put that information in a book, a booklet or a magazine article.

Contact me for help in finding the best way to share your expertise.
